How does your process work? How do I get paid?
The beauty of our process is … it’s simple. After becoming a Certified StoryDimensions Storyteller, you begin receiving story assignments and getting paid … every month.
1. Determine How Many Stories You Want to Produce Each Month.
We know you have a busy schedule, so we allow you to change just how many stories you want to produce each month or you can set it at a certain number and receive a consistent number of story assignments each month. Tell us your capacity is in 30-day increments and that is the maximum number of stories you will be assigned. For instance, in January you may want to produce 10 stories; then in February you have more bandwidth, so you bump it up to 20; then in March you want to take a vacation (good for you) so you only want to develop five stories. The point is, you are in complete control. You choose how much or how little you work month to month.
2. Start Receiving Weekly Story Assignments in Your Inbox.
Once we have you in our system, you will begin receiving Customer Story Assignments via email. The email will include links to details about the customer, source material (direct feedback and insights from the customer) that you can use to shape the story and other insights that will inform your story.
3. Follow the Simple Story Development Template and Start Writing Stories.
We provide you with a simple template and structure (word count, story perspective, tips and tricks, etc.) so you know exactly what the story needs to include. Every story follows the same format. So, as you get familiar with the structure and process, you will be able to write stories with greater speed and efficiency (which means your hourly rate per story goes up and up)
4. Submit Your Completed Stories Electronically for Approval.
Once your story is complete, you simply submit it online. Then your stories are sent through our internal review, editing and approval process. That’s it. Now you can move on to your next story. Also, note — you are not left on an island. If at any time you have questions about your assignment or would like to collaborate with members of our team, you can do that through our online chat application.
5. You Get Paid.
At the end of every month, StoryDimensions will send you a check or make a direct deposit payment to your account for the stories you have written.
How Do I Get Started?
Our Application and Certification Process
To become an official member of our network, just follow these simple steps.
1. Submit an Application and Writing Samples.
Simply go here to complete our application and submit relevant writing samples. Your application and samples will be reviewed within 48 hours. Our Chief Storyteller will notify you if your application has been accepted.
2. Complete a Quick Story Qualification Assignment.
If our Chief Storyteller feels you have the skills it takes, you will be assigned three paid story assignments. This is how we determine if your skills translate well and your story writing meets the quality standards that we have at StoryDimensions.
3. Complete 3 Quality Customer Stories — and Get Paid.
After you have completed your third story, you will be notified if you have earned your Storytelling Network Certification. Individuals that receive their Certification will become formal members of our network and will receive a consistent stream of assignments moving forward. If it is not a good fit, you will be paid for the three stories that you produced and our journey together will have come to an end.
4. Receive a Certification Notification Email.
After you have completed your third story, you will be notified if you have earned your Storytelling Network Certification. Individuals who receive their Certification will become formal members of our network and will receive a consistent stream of assignments moving forward. If it is not a good fit, you will be paid for the three stories that you produced and our journey together will have come to an end.
5. Share the Great News with Colleagues, Friends and Family Members.
After you receive your Storytelling Certification, we encourage you to share the exciting news with others. Add your StoryDimensions Certification to your LinkedIn profile, throw a party with your friends. You decide how to celebrate. Because, just like everything else with StoryDimensions — you are in control.
That’s it. Now the fun begins.
You get to do what you love to do every month and earn extra income at the same time. It really doesn’t get any better than that!
How Much Can I Earn?
The motto for our compensation model is “you are in complete control.” That’s right, you can earn as much as you want.
Need an extra $750 a month in fun money? Perfect. Maybe you want to bring in $6,000+ in just 30 days for your down payment on that new car. Excellent. The point is, you control how much income you generate every month.
Set Your Monthly Story Volume.
As a Certified Member of our Storytelling Network, you simply log into our Member Portal and set the maximum number of stories you want to be assigned every 30 days. One month you may want to be assigned 12 stories, the next five and the following month 20. You set the volume and then you know exactly what your earnings potential is month-to-month.
Pay-Per-Story Compensation Model
StoryDimensions pays you on a per-story basis and you will receive $150.00 for every story you produce.
